Dear Brown Haired Reader,
I met with my expert on journalism on Thursday. He is a manager and editor of the IJN newspaper. I told him I needed some direction with my Passage. He asked me what I was thinking and I told him maybe writing in different journalism styles. He told me to forget about writing for now, and to focus on reading the Denver post once a day, and the New York Times once in a while and the IJN once a week. This way I could see the differences and similarities between each newspaper. He said one of the most important parts of Journalism is to know what is going on around you.
Another question I asked was whether or not I should focus on the radio or Television news programs. He told me that the newspaper is the heart and soul of journalism, and that one week of reading the news would give me more insight on journalism than listening or watching the TV. for a year.
I will start doing this right away!

Passage Blog #1
Dear reader- scratch that. Dear Fantastic Reader,
I am doing my Passage on Journalism. What do I know about the topic, almost nothing. Just its for newspapers and magazines and stuff like that. I have been trying to meet with an editor of a Newspaper and I have met some obstacles. He was in New Jersey for a while, but now he is back. The problem is he can’t meet with me till Thursday night at 8:30. Its frustrating cause I am just sitting/typing and not doing much else. Hopefully when I meet with him he will give me some sort of direction so I can finally start my new Passage.
Humbly,
Eli Tessler
